Real Madrid closes 2024 as world champions for the ninth time

Real Madrid win the title after defeating Pachuca in Qatar with goals from Mbappé, Rodrygo and Vini Jr.

Real Madrid are world champions for the ninth time in their history. The team won a new title by defeating Mexican side Pachuca 3-0 at the Lusail stadium (Qatar). Ancelotti’s men, who is already our club’s most successful coach, took the lead in the 37th minute with a goal from Mbappé after a great assist from Vini Jr.

In the second half, Rodrygo scored Real Madrid’s second goal with a beautiful right-footed shot from the edge of the area. The Best Vini Jr. converted the penalty in the 84th minute. Madrid thus won their second title of the season after the European Super Cup.

“The Best” Vinicius Jr., the Brazilian MVP of the competition, did not fail in the 85th minute when he converted a penalty committed by Idrissi on Lucas Vázquez and which the referee blew after going to see the play on the monitor.
