Inter is the new Italian Serie A champion

Inter Milan is crowned champion of the Italian Serie A, May 2, 2021 is a historic day for Italian soccer, the draw between Sassuolo 1 – 1 Atalanta and thanks to the good results obtained since December by the blue and black team of Milan, with 82 points achieved the necessary advantage to shout champion, ending the hegemony of Juventus who won 9 championships in a row.

It is the 19th title for the Nerazzurri in the Italian domestic league, the reward for a season that began at the end of September, the team led by Antonio Conte managed to reverse a bitter 2020 where they came close but lost the Italian league with Juventus and the Europa League final against Sevilla of Spain.

Inter came to this date with the intention of winning the title but to achieve it it was necessary to certify a victory against Crotone, a team that with this defeat lost the category in the first division, doing their homework to confirm the title, they only needed to wait for a negative result for their pursuer Atalanta, a situation that occurred due to today’s draw of Atalanta against Sassuolo. There are still four rounds to go until the end of the season, but the table puts them at a height of 82 points, an unreachable summit for all the others.

We are champions of Italy thanks to our coach, Antonio Conte, who with grit and determination, with hard work and dedication, has led the way to triumph. Together with his staff and with the valuable contribution of all the people who – on and off the field – work daily for the growth of the Club, starting with President Steven Zhang, he has helped bring Inter exactly where he wanted it to be.

Inter’s Official Website says

The end of Juventus’ domination

A supremacy that seemed to have no end but that in the last months showed weaknesses as never before in the previous 9 championships, the team led by Andrea Pirlo and led by Cristiano Ronaldo have not lived up to the expectations at the beginning of the season when the hiring of Pirlo was announced as the coach who was coming to give Juventus the definitive quality leap to not only lead Italy but also to conquer Europe, neither of these two things happened, because in Europe they were eliminated by the modest Porto of Portugal and in Italy they lost important points against all their rivals, moving away from the title.

Antonio Conte is Inter’s champion coach

The first to attack was AC Milan, the Rossoneri had scored a good amount of points in the first months of the championship, finishing as leaders of the tournament in the first round that ended in December, 10 points ahead of Inter and Juventus, however, the battery of Zlatan and his team was exhausted before time.

Seeing the downfall of their biggest rivals, Inter players took a deep breath to organize their ideas and draw the necessary strength to take advantage of the space left by their opponents, Juventus never found an adequate game system to feed their top star and the premature elimination from the Champions League took away their enthusiasm to compete.

It was 11 years of waiting and disappointment

After achieving what is historically known as Inter’s most glorious season in 2010, led in those glorious years by the Special One José Mourinho, the Nerazzurri were never again the protagonists and on the contrary hid under the shadow cast by the Old Lady.

We can finally shout it, after dreaming about it, after keeping it hidden deep in our hearts, after clinging to it like a precious dream we didn’t want to waste. We carry this Scudetto. Beautiful, resounding, deserved. Long awaited and longed for.
